  • Abstract
Summary form only given. Internet of Things (IoT) which connects all things to the Internet to form an intelligent network has received extensive attentions recently. Its success involves integrating many state-of-art technologies, such as sensing devices, machine to machine communication, cloud computing, and big data. Thus, many companies view IoT as a new economic wave. Data analysis is one of the key enabling technologies of IoT. In this talk, we will first overview the standardization of IoT, technologies that involved with IoT. We then focus on the data analysis issue. We will overview the data analysis process, discuss the uniqueness of each process in IoT, examples of applications on data analysis of IoT, and examine some privacy issues. Finally, we will examine a distributed privacy protection mechanism based on the unique structure of Peer-to-Peer systems and the trust relationship retrieved from the social networks.
