            Abstract : 
As a new spread spectrum system, an ultra wide band technology has attracted much attention in high speed indoor multiple access radio communications. An UWB communication system with channel coding is noticing for avoiding the performance degradation due to adverse channel propagation conditions. In this paper, we propose a novel punctured low-density parity-check (LDPC) coding scheme for UWB systems. Differently from the conventional puncture coding, we puncture the pulses after the UWB system repeating the LDPC coded bits. From our analysis and numerical results, we find this new scheme give a significant performance gain compared with the conventional scheme. Furthermore, the receiver construction is simpler since the puncture position information is not needed.
