Abstract
Standard wireless technologies are envisioning for the development in industrial environments. Major obstacles toward the fulfillment of industrial application are that how to solve the reliability and real-time requirements. The routing protocols play an important role for ultra-wideband (UWB) based wireless networks performance. A new routing scheme suitable for UWB based industrial wireless network was proposed in the paper. The new routing scheme utilizes orientation of UWB and tries to get enough route information and guarantee reliable dissemination to all nodes in the network. Simulation results show that the new routing protocol achieves reliable data communication and with more energy efficiency than SPIN (sensor network protocols using information negotiation).
