Abstract :
Services and agents represent two paradigms that are currently exploited to build complex applications. Each of them has peculiar features that can grant different advantages, and their joint exploitation can make them compensate each otherpsilas lacks. However, a complete integration seems to be not feasible to achieve. In this paper, we propose an agent-based architecture tomanage different services; in particular, we focus on service composition. This architecture relies on three different kinds of agents, whose cooperation aims at composing services to fulfill userspsila requests. A concrete example in the field of e-health is reported to give concreteness to our proposal.
