Abstract
The complexity of the current applications causes the need for an assistance of information systems´ (IS) design allowing the comprehension of the field to be modeled and the determination of its concepts and their relationships. This assistance must conserve the semantics given by the conceptual representations results from the studied field, making it possible to fill the existing limitations of the current CASE. To do so, we propose in this paper the use of an ontology, constructed for the modeled field, as a help to IS designers. Indeed, the ontology represents an explicit specification of a conceptualization, represented using our semi-formal language UMLOnto. This language allows the representation of the semantic richness between the ontology concepts. In this paper, we present a framework for IS´ ontologies building using the UMLOnto language.
