Wireless range measurement and positioning using multicarrier techniques
Abstract :
This paper reviews the principles of multicarrier phase shift distance measurement and its implementation in frequency hopping spread spectrum and orthogonal frequency division multiplex communication. It describes the phase slope technique of using a plot of phase difference vs. carrier frequency to determine propagation time, and Fourier transform methods to distinguish the line of sight signal from multipath reflections.
