Abstract :
SMIL presentation authoring is a very arduous task-initially users directly program in SMIL and later use the graphical interface to improve presentation authoring. The latter is still unable to avoid complexity and cumbersomeness. In this paper, the SMIL presentation authoring is preceded by using one kind of presentation expression for the presentation modeling, and then automatically generates a number of graphical interfaces by the system. Users only need to add a small amount of semantic attributes to the related graphical interface, thus system will be able to complete the demonstration (SMIL code sequence). This method requires users neither to write SMIL code nor to consider the details of a large number of presentation authoring. The system can help users to complete most of the work. The method is simple, intuitive, easy to learn and easy to use.
