Abstract :
Aiming at seismic response of a five-span continuous curved rigid-framed bridges under excitation of traveling waves, the dynamic calculating model of the continuous curved rigid-framed bridge is created by the finite element analysis program ANSYS. The dynamic characteristic of the continuous curved rigid-framed bridge is discussed, and a time history analysis is conducted for the continuous curved rigid-framed bridge subjected to the E1 Centro earthquake waves in three conditions with various excitations and uniform excitation, the internal force, displacement and the time history response of the curved box-girders and bridge pier are obtained. The results indicate that stiffness of the bridge pier and radius of curvature have considerable influence on the dynamic characteristic of the continuous curved rigid-framed bridge; in considering the traveling wave effect, the continuous curved rigid-framed bridge seismic response is greater than the uniform excitation.
