Abstract :
We present a widely tunable phase sensitive amplifier, based on narrow band parametric amplification in fibers. Using dispersion shifted fiber with a zero dispersion wavelength of 1549nm, and a pump in wavelength between 1549-1532, we obtained phase sensitive gain between 1344nm and 1781nm. The amplifier threshold is 7W and maximal gain was obtained for pump peak power of 25W. Maximal variance in the gain due to phase sensitivity was measured to be about 17dB.
