  • Abstract
Internet has developed so fast that networked learning is gradually becoming one important part of the modern education. With many great advantages such as the abundant shared resources, convenient communication and flexible collaboration, the networked learning community is now popular among the youth to make individual education. In this paper, networked learning community is introduced including its concept, features and components. And a new individual need-hierarchy of networked learning community is put forward based on Maslow´s theory. The hierarchy is composed of information needs, safety needs, self-show needs and self-promotion needs. Then the external drive mechanism meeting these needs is described in detail by analyzing the strategies for each layer and the corresponding technology supports. The research is of benefit to the understanding and the management of networked learning community. At the same time, it could provide some suggestions for these individual activities in networked learning community.
