Abstract
In order to solve the problems in process-oriented writing class of English major and promote students´ autonomy in the course learning, a corpus-based teaching mode is proposed in present paper. It analyzes the roles of corpus in English teaching and learning and designs a new type of writing class arrangement, which can nicely apply advanced technology of modern corpus into the process of writing guidance of teachers, ranging from prewriting, draft proofreading to draft revising. Such a student-centered method can well increase students´ interest in attending the class, enhance their ability of autonomous data-driven learning and improve teachers´ material selection and error correction. Although it needs further improvement and experimental test, it gives a worthwhile reference to the perfection of the present writing class of English majors.
