Abstract :
During analyzing the stresses and strains of the masonry cavity dregsfill dam, it is such complex structures that the results would be led to obvious errors by the material mechanic method. The 3-D finite elements method is applied to calculate the stress state on its pre-reinforcement and post-reinforcement in this article. The factors led to fracture, seepage, local over-standard stress and unsteady dam body will be considered. On the account of those problems, the more economical reinforcement measures are made, and the design theory of the masonry cavity dregsfill dam is explored.
