Abstract :
A class of overlapped multiplexing techniques is presented in this paper, and it includes overlapped time division multiplexing (OVTDM), overlapped frequency division multiplexing (OVFDM) and overlapped time-frequency division multiplexing (OVTFDM). This paper focus on OVTDM, and this new technique can implement transmission with super-high spectral efficiency only by low order modulated signals , and its feature is that there is overlapping between neighbor signals in time domain, which is used to raise the spectral efficiency of the system and generate the coding constraint relationship, thus improving transmission reliability. The theory of OVFDM and OVTFDM is similar to it. Simulation results verify the validity of this theory in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel and multipath fading channel.
