Abstract :
This paper analyses the Xiamen municipal population information management system and its operational characteristics, expounds its database structure optimization scheme under the Oracle environment, including the optimization to the system structure and statements. At last, by comparing with the original sytem some conclusions are drawn about the results upon the optimized database, which show that a great improvement is achieved.
