Abstract :
In this paper, a passive detector for underwater swimmer using single hydrophone is proposed. First the diver´s breathing feature is extracted from the experimental data and a multiband matched filter (MF) technique is presented. In order to extend the detection range of the MF detector, a secondary detection scheme based on the diver breathing feature is applied. The experimental simulation results verify the performance of the proposed detector.
