Abstract :
In this paper, we address the effect of a spread spectrum contention-based feedback channel on the throughput performance of a multi-antenna wireless network under delay constraints. We show that an appropriately designed feedback channel satisfies a required delay constraint, in which the probability that the maximum delay is less than a specified value, while maintaining most of the multiuser diversity gain. In addition, we also show that the spectral efficiency improves as the number of users increases while maintaining the performance of the normalized maximum delay which is the ratio of the maximum delay and the number of users.
