  • Abstract
    This paper derives a fuzzy logic-based approach to the averaging of angle of arrival (AOA) information. It is shown that the maximum likelihood (ML) approach to AOA averaging can be considered as a special case of the fuzzy logic approach. Computer simulations show that the ML and fuzzy logic approaches produce very similar results if the membership functions used in the fuzzy logic approach are appropriately constructed.
