Abstract :
Simulation model for sinter mixture´s drying process was established and validated with the tunnel drier experiment. On this basis, hot blast temperature and flow rate, sinter bed´s porosity factor and particle diameter are analyzed. The result shows that the effects of hot blast temperature and flow rate are far larger than the effects of sinter bed´s porosity factor and particle diameter. Hot blast temperature obviously influences the drying process before 200 °C, while little or no effect after 300 °C. For the suitable sinter moisture content, hot blast flow rate of 1.5m/s or more is recommended during 200°C to 250°C.
