Abstract :
The design of MIMO feedback control systems is rather complicated because of the existing interaction between the different channels. This paper shows how a MIMO transfer function plant matrix can be easily transformed into a purely diagonal one and thus reducing accordingly the severe difficulties in the design of MIMO feedback control systems. The control engineer is therefore allowed to design the MIMO control problem by designing independently several SISO control problems.
