Abstract
The main goal of this paper is to describe the theory and practice of conflict management in computer supported collaborative design. An analysis of existing methods and techniques addressing the problem of mismatch control in the collaborative design environment is described. The methodology of conflict management named intelligent distributed mismatch control (IDMC) is represented. The proposed general methodology consists of two submodels: the process model of IDMC and structural model conceptual multi-agent framework for IDMC development. The application of the proposed methodology for aerospace collaborative design is presented.
