Abstract
Mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) have no fixed infrastructure such as base stations or mobile switching centers, and the framework is dynamic owing to frequent changes in both topology and membership. Consequently, the trust relationships among nodes also change, and many security solutions with static configurations will become inadequate. Security in MANETs continues to attract attention after years of research. Recent advances in identity-based cryptography (IBC) sheds light on this problem and has become popular as a solution base. Based on integer lattices, we first present a novel Hierarchical Identity-Based Model for MANETs(HIBMM). Then, we propose a Hierarchical Identity-Based Encryption for MANETs(HIBEM). HIBEM achieves security under the lattice hard problem. Finally we analyze the correctness and security.
