Abstract :
The aim of the present paper is to describe the methods contained in the IEC draft Standard “Calculation of short-circuit currents in dc auxiliary installations in power plants and substations”, and to test them using computer simulation. The test network is a 220 V DC auxiliary power system in a power station fed by a static power converter. The limits of application of the proposed Standard are also discussed with particular reference to DC traction power systems
