Abstract
This paper introduces the establishment of wireless billboard channels (WBCs) over digital audio broadcasting/ terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (DAB/T-DMB) in transmission mode I. WBCs are integral part of the ubiquitous consumer wireless world (UCWW) - a wireless next generation network (NGN) proposal. The WBCs are used by the service providers to broadcast advertisements of their services to mobile users so they may discover and associate with the `best´ service by following the user-driven always best connected and best served principle (ABC&S). A novel and more efficient operational mode for `WBC over DAB/T-DMB´ is proposed. A simulation comparison with the standard DAB/T-DMB operational modes is also presented.
