Abstract :
A new technique to realize a high-rate data transmission through electrically small antennas is presented. In this technique, the fundamental resonant frequency of a single-mode antenna is modulated by feeding the antenna with a switched capacitor with a switching signal controlled by baseband digital data. The antenna operates completely in the transient state and a DC power source is used to excite the fundamental resonances and therefore, no RF source is required.
