Abstract
A programmable switched-capacitor (SC) circuit, which can perform multivalued-to-binary (M/B) and binary-to-multivalued (B/M) conversions, is proposed. The circuit can be used as an interface between a binary logic system and multivalued logic systems with different radixes. High-accuracy conversion can be carried out. This circuit and CMOS logic circuits can be integrated on the same chip. Error analysis is presented for this circuit implemented in an IC form. Measurements on a programmable SC bidecimal (12-valued) M/B and B/M converter built with discrete components demonstrate the expected performance
