Strategy for Training and Development of Engineering Manpower in Indian Context

This paper presents the current state of engineering labor force being made available, and evaluates the growth strategy formulated at various levels to develop quality manpower for future needs. In Indian context, this planning has significant relevance and importance. The students are ready to take the challenge and cross the hurdles, but the question of shortage of trained technical educators required to mold the budding engineers has to be addressed.
