Abstract :
To help unskilled users operate their networks, I propose a method for composing network operation services based on the knowledge base provided in Web ontology languages. To achieve this, I propose a method for automatic integration of proprietary operation service interfaces and integrated component operation services at the semantic level. This method involves the automatic addition of wrapper modules and metadata for existing network equipment. An evaluation shows that my approach realizes the integration of proprietary operation service interfaces for each piece of equipment without requiring any tasks in technical fields to be performed by the users. The evaluation also shows that my approach enables some QoS-related operation services to be composed automatically based on the knowledge base under certain conditions. These results suggest that my approach helps inexperienced users to operate networked appliances or those services via composed practical operation service interfaces.
