Abstract :
This paper aims to develop a generic spatiotemporal computation model and to design the multimedia documents for applications. We develop a temporal/spatial algebra system as efficient computation model to unify time varying events and spatial-varying objects. The combined temporal/spatial data models are generalized by composing point and interval algebra with qualitative and quantitative functions. We define the equality predicates on points and intervals to express spatio-temporal relations. We also develop an intelligent transformation mechanism to generate consistent SMIL documents by computing and analyzing spatio-temporal constraints.
