Abstract
The HJ-1A satellite is the first satellite for remote sensing of environment in China and HSI is one of the main sensors. Striping noise is unavoidable for most HSI data because the responses of detectors are different. The striping noise is serious in the first twenty bands. It affects the quality of image and quantitative application of HSI data. This paper introduces the principles of histogram matching and moment matching and tries to remove HSI striping noise using these two methods. The final results indicate both methods are effective, but the histogram matching method is better. The result of this study is also applicable in striping removal of other multi sensor scanning´s remote sensing data.
