  • Abstract
    Application of 3D remote sensing technology brings new research methods to railway engineering geological investigation and surveying. This paper discusses the method on railway engineering geology location based on 3D rs technology. The whole job is divided into three parts: image processing and professional interpretation,result output (for field adjustable draw) using 3D rs interpretation platform. Each part is independent of each other, but mutual validation. It provides an effective way for daily work of engineering geological disasters investigation and surveying. The whole process is clear and unambiguous and has been applied successfully in railway survey of location of China Railway Eryuan, highly improving interpretation accuracy. This methods provide a substantial effective way for railway engineering geological location.
