Abstract :
In order to measure the surface roughness of polished free-form surface parts, a kind of embedded measuring system scheme was provided, which was based on a laser gauging head to achieve the in-process and real-time random sampling measurement. The surface roughness measurement system in this paper introduced is based on the principle of using laser to measure the range along the Z axis from the work surface to the gauging head by the precise distance sensor AT-2. Then the computer software is used to process and calculate relevant data, after that the value of the surface roughness Ra can be gotten. Finally, the measurement result could also be used to control the movement of the actuator.
