A survey of rural residences situation and its improvement of construction quality and safety in China

In china, rural residences construction is a very important part of New Countryside Construction, and has received high attention from the Party Central Committee and the State Council. The scale of rural residences construction is huge and continuous increase, meanwhile, its construction quality and safety problem also has become more obvious. This research studied the current situation of rural Residences construction and summarized six main problems during construction by questionnaire and typical case-study. Furthermore, by experts´ consultation and face-to-face interviews, it was made the countermeasures for improving construction quality and safety for the rural residences in China.
