Abstract
A new course teaching the principles and practice of information engineering and technology has been developed and offered twice to date. The course was developed within electrical engineering, but is intended for all students outside of EE. This paper reports results of assessment of the first offering, resulting modifications from these results and some conclusions from the second offering which has just been completed. Course material and the "virtual textbook" are available on the web at http://ece.wpi.edu/infoeng.
