Abstract
A 2-semester capstone design course in which students individually plan and execute an electronic-related project is now preceded by a junior-year design course. The good effects of the resulting changes are discussed: better partitioning of project phases, less stress in the final semester, increased emphasis on testing, and a significantly higher success rate.
