Abstract :
ICE(Intercultural Collaboration Environment) is a joint research project which is dedicated to overcoming language barriers and cultural differences, serious communication problems. But the translation tools at present are poor and the users can´t understand each other very well. In order to improve mutual comprehension between users, we propose the ontology-based ICE integrating ontology, agents and data mining to supplement the present tool AnnoChat. Moreover, for the purpose of adapting to the dynamic environment, we propose a user-oriented ontology evolution model integrated within the ontology-based ICE system. It can complete ontology evolution task effectively as well as enhance the comprehension between users, in other words, support ICE.
