A study on facial caricature drawing by fuzzy theory

This paper considers facial caricature drawing by the use of linguistic expressions. The facial caricature drawing process consists of three parts, i.e. an input part, an output part, and a modification part. In the input part, a face shape and the feature of a face are expressed by linguistic terms. Fuzziness inherent in linguistic expressions is expressed by a fuzzy set. In the output part, a facial caricature is drawn by varying parameter values of each feature of a face. In the modification part, a drawn facial caricature is modified by the use of linguistic terms.
