Abstract :
This paper considers facial caricature drawing by the use of linguistic expressions. The facial caricature drawing process consists of three parts, i.e. an input part, an output part, and a modification part. In the input part, a face shape and the feature of a face are expressed by linguistic terms. Fuzziness inherent in linguistic expressions is expressed by a fuzzy set. In the output part, a facial caricature is drawn by varying parameter values of each feature of a face. In the modification part, a drawn facial caricature is modified by the use of linguistic terms. An example of a facial caricature, which is drawn by the present process, is shown
