Abstract :
Distributed generation (DG) of electrical energy is predicated to play an important role in the electric power system in the near future because in efficiency of the energy conversion process and their limited emission of pollutants. In the other hand, the high speed permanent magnet (PM) generators driven by micro turbines have been widely investigated since they have a small size, a high efficiency and a power density. This paper presents a model for a voltage source rectifier which is connected to a generator in a micro turbine power generation system to form a back to back configuration with a PWM inverter. Virtual flux based on direct power control strategy is used for control the said rectifier. Finally based on this model, some simulations are done and their results are given, and circuit operation in steady state is analyzed.
