Abstract :
Expression of spatial topological relationships is regarded as one of main topics in GIS, and has achieved some distinct progresses, among which the 9-intersection model is well known. The 9-intersection model can also be extended to describe topological relationships of change things, which are called spatio-temporal topological relationships. Cadastral parcel is one of typical change objects, their boundary lines may be deleted, created, maintained, shortened or extended when the parcel changes. But there are some strict rules in their spatio-temporal topological relationships, and by these rules their change types may be discovered automatically. Taking the cadastral data of two different years at the same area as example, experimental program is developed to query change types of boundary lines by their spatio-temporal topological relationships according to rules above.
