Abstract :
The breakdown property between electrodes had been analyzed in case of operation without current and with current in closing/opening vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) in this paper. The mechanical components of influence on breakdown property had been studied. An experiment on the effect of opening on the reignition has been done. The aim of this research is to provide the basic optimization theory in VCB design
