Abstract :
Quickly acquiring the data required from network node environments to share files in the vast P2P network environment is a challenging job. Many researches have proposed data sharing mechanisms and scheduling methods in P2P environments, however, most focused on the efficient utilization of network bandwidth, using greedy methods to deliver the data to the client end as early as possible. However, as nodes increase, more links and data transfers would lead to overload of overall network transmissions. When using streaming features of sharing multimedia data, a segment is only required to complete the transfer before playing. If extracting the multimedia data too early, it takes additional buffer space to save. Therefore, this study proposed a new scheduling method, P2P multimedia streaming schedule for maximum network capacity, which secures network transfer quality and data reception before playing in multi-node P2P network. The experimental results showed that this scheduling method could effectively lower overall network load, without packet dropping.
