Abstract :
In the paper, we studied the effect of different factors involving Beijing economic indices on carbon dioxide emission using gray relation analysis, which included GDP, the value-added of the secondary industry, fixed asset investment, household consumption, net exports, energy consumption, household population and the value-added of the tertiary industry. Our results showed that energy consumption, population size and the value-added of the secondary industry were the most important factors affecting carbon dioxide emission, while net exports and the value-added of the tertiary industry had a little effect on the carbon dioxide emission in Beijing. On the base of the results, we gave suggestions about how to reduce the carbon dioxide emission in Beijing.
