Abstract :
The attempt to use the wear-resistant properties of Al2O3 coatings for machine tools production is well known. The Al2O3 coating is a part of a double coating of TiC and Al2O3, being applied on hard-melted plates. Here, the authors examine the use of the plasma arc deposition process in producing such wear resistant coatings for cutting tool applications
