Abstract :
Railway transportation is regarded as the safest and most economical way of transportation on land. However, the delay of train makes it inconvenient for both railway work crews and passengers. As the high-speed railways which can reach a speed of over 350 km/h are booming up, train delay is becoming more and more important. On this concern, this article gives out a definition of expected punctual time region for trains, and then analyzes the main causes of train delays. Among those reasons causing delays of the train, it is important to draw out the weight of quality-of-service factors in Chinese Train Control System, and calculate the Mean Time between Disturbances on different railway classes for further evaluation.
