Information integration and e-commerce system construction for Taiwan traditional industrial production

With network time coming, Taiwan enterprises´ production. A information system is transforming from OEM to ODM. This research presents a digitalized process model of the product data based on the theories of “Product Design Information” and “E-commerce Design Service”. It can integrate the systems of product design, service and sales as a digitalized EPC system by the supporting of “Product Knowledge Database”. The proposed digitalized system platform can vertically integrated external customers´ requirements and internal design, manufacturing and sales department for enhancing the performance of product design and commercial activities depended on the concept of “customer demand” and “product knowledge”. Through market investigating and system testing, the digitalized EPC system is firmed to be an applicable tool and a good referral guide for Taiwan enterprises to develop a future integrated product information network system.
