Abstract :
Cloud model is an effective tool in uncertain transforming between qualitative concepts and their quantitative expressions. The cloud model is extensively studied presently and the research on interval cloud model does not exist. Compared to the cloud model, interval cloud model has extensive exist in daily life and owns merits to represent numerical concept, Some related definitions of interval cloud are given, and then the algorithms of interval cloud generators including forward interval cloud generator, backward interval cloud generator and interval cloud generator under different conditions are given. These provide the base to bridge the gap between quantitative methodology and qualitative methodology in research on fuzzy phenomenon in both social and natural sciences.
