Abstract
A general purpose learning system for electrocardiogram (EGG) diagnosis expert systems (DESs) is presented here. The main functions of the proposed system are the following: (a) It reads the knowledge base (KB) of the DES and constructs the appropriate database (DB) scheme. (b) It interacts with the user, usually a physician in order to record his opinion on the concluded diagnosis and store it in the DB. (c) It processes the DB in order to update the KB of the DES. The proposed system is friendly and easy to use, and it upgrades the role of the user, encouraging the physicians to use ECG diagnosis systems. Finally it supports the process of collecting and recording the experience of the expert
