Abstract
This paper outlines a novel scheme for predictive channel access methodology to enhance medium access reliability and reduce probability of interference in case of using IEEE 802.15.4 compliant WSN nodes under co-existence of communications for FBW applications. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated using real-world IEEE 802.11g traffic, and the results show that free channel access rates of WSN nodes can be significantly improved.
