Abstract
SpamTestSim is a multi-agent based simulator in which agents represent spammers and legitimate email users. The purpose of SpamTestSim is to provide a realistic environment for testing anti-spam software. The agents send and receive mail (both ham and spam) and create and maintain contact lists. We demonstrate the simulation by testing four well-known spam filters.
