  • Abstract
The bifurcation transitions from the regime of regular HF-oscillations excitation in beam-plasma discharge to stochastic automodulation of the excitation process have been investigated both theoretically and experimentally. Analytical and computer considerations were carried out by means of a fractional map. Amplitude and frequency mechanisms of stochastisations were revealed based on amplitude-frequency characteristics analysis. Beam-plasma discharge experiments were performed using an electron beam of energy 10 kV, current 60 μA in continuous operation and magnetized plasma produced by collisions and HF fields ionization of neutral gas of pressure 10-3-10-4 Torr, magnetic field up to 1500 Oe, chamber length 150 cm and diameter 15 cm. Some experimental results demonstrating bifurcation transitions were compared with theory
