Abstract

Facing a knowledge economy and knowledge-based competition, many kinds of new management theories and techniques are adopted by the enterprises to win the competition. In this paper, the reason why knowledge management (KM) is imperative to the modern enterprise has been discussed. Focusing on knowledge sharing, the kernel of KM. the concept, processes, as well as obstacles to knowledge sharing have been analyzed. Based on them, a case study of knowledge sharing with background of an architecture planning enterprise is discussed. The case study illuminates how to carry out knowledge sharing inside enterprise according to the individual situation. Based on Microsoft.net, a Web-based knowledge-sharing platform is developed to support knowledge sharing inside enterprise
